It’s ridiculous how much space seats take up

Even folded, the back seats took about a foot and a half out of the loadbay. Now I have a good six foot of junk space.

Bonus: flipping the third row up from the underfloor cubby puts it in  Limo Mode.

That’s one of the two things I like about St Jimmy. The second row seats actually lay out totally flat. The cargo area is raised above the rest of the floorpan to accommodate suspension , so the back seat bottoms drop into the lower spot, and the seat backs match the height of the cargo area meaning someone my height can actually stretch out completely if need be. This is in contrast to both of my Jeeps, which do a similar thing but the seat bottom flips up and forward, taking up a good six inches or so of where I would want my head to be, while sticking up too far (and not out far enough)  to be an effective pillow.

Not gonna lie, in every three row vehicle Ives ever had, I’ve folded up the second row and had people chill in the third. Way more space, way more place for cargo...overall, much more comfy. Plus if the second row seats fold onto  themselves, you got a ready-made office table.

Stowable third row seats are so laughable  looking. They’re just padded park benches.

I’m always shocked how tiny they look (especially in SUVs) . I grew up with a Previa, which had a decently spacious bench, which sat on top of the wheel wells, rather than between them, and then folded up to the sides, instead of down into the floor.

(I didn’t have the fancy 2nd row captain’s chairs, just a bench, which was clearly an inferior option, and made sitting in the third-row more comfortable than sitting in the second.)
